The benefits of assessing CRNA school readiness

Well, basically it means taking an assessment of areas or things needed to get one step closer to being a CRNA.

After completing the audit you’re going to have more clarity on where you stand as a competitive applicant than you ever had before.

So here’s the thing. When striving to become a CRNA there is so much to think about and that you will need right? ICU experience, certifications, pre-reqs, research, volunteering, GRE, growth mindset, support system, GPA, etc.

I could probably go on and on. But you get the gist of it. But I want to share with you my core belief about getting into CRNA school. If you follow a strategic plan with actionable steps along with perseverance it is actually easy to get accepted. Actually easier than getting through a CRNA program and graduating honestly.

Why do a CRNA school self-audit

The frustrations come to play because you end up doing a lot of guessing, hoping, wishing, and praying. I call it the “ING” syndrome. So then you start to:

  • Doubt you even have a chance to get accepted.
  • Applying to random CRNA schools and receive rejection letters.
  • Apply multiple times and hear crickets from the admissions committee.

And as you know or have heard, it’s very expensive as far as application and interview fees, loss of income on your job, and also loss of potential income as a CRNA for every year you don’t get accepted.

Ultimately, taking an audit or assessment will:

  • Show you where you’re currently at
  • Pinpoint your weak or trouble areas
  • Also, help you form a strategic plan to get to where you want to be

What to include in your self-audit

So I want to give you 3 big things to think about when doing your very own self-audit to see what’s holding you back from CRNA school acceptance.

I also want you to think about all the things that are important to you that could make or break your chances of becoming a CRNA including outside forces such as your environment or support system.

How to do a self-audit

Next, I want you to take the audit resource or just a sheet of paper to assess your mindset, requirements, schools, application, and interview skills. These are the 5 things that will allow you to stand out that we focus on significantly in the Get Accepted Now Coaching and Mentorship program.

Now you should be able to see where you’re good at, and any gaps, or obstacles that need to be addressed. So once you get this done, you are so far ahead of every other applicant who is still trying to figure out what to focus on.

Bottom line

So to unpack all of this- What you’re going to do is fill out this section of the audit and rate yourself on a scale of 1-4, 4 being the best or greatest. This will show if you’re CRNA school ready or what you need to focus on specifically.

Now in the Get Accepted Now Program we go really deep and the audit actually tells what your chances of acceptance are. Which is really cool! Then we get to work increasing those chances. This is a great way to help you get started and know what you need to focus on.

I hope this has been helpful for you. Be sure to download your copy of the audit resource here. Remember to stay the course, and become a CRNA!
