Transitioning to The Society of Future Nurse Anesthetists

I am excited to announce a significant transformation we have undergone. What was once known as The CRNA Chase Academy will now be proudly recognized as The Society of Future Nurse Anesthetists (SFNA). This transition marks a new chapter in our commitment to supporting critical care nurses and aspiring nurse anesthetists on their professional journeys.

Why the Change?

Broadening Our Scope: While CRNA Chase Academy has successfully provided mentorship and guidance, our vision has evolved to encompass a broader range of educational and professional development opportunities. As The Society of Future Nurse Anesthetists, we are expanding our focus to offer a more comprehensive suite of resources and support systems designed to meet the diverse needs of our members.

Enhancing Inclusivity and Community Building: Our new name reflects our dedication to creating a welcoming and inclusive community. SFNA aims to foster an environment where future nurse anesthetists can share experiences, challenges, and successes. By building strong networks and supporting both educational and professional growth, we strive to empower our members to reach their full potential.

Increasing Resource Accessibility: One of our primary goals is to reduce barriers to entry into the field of nurse anesthesia. With the transition to SFNA, we are committed to providing a wide range of accessible resources, including scholarships, a career shadowing network, and an extensive resource library. These tools are designed to support ongoing professional development and ensure that all members have the support they need to succeed.

Benefits of the New Identity

Comprehensive Educational Support: SFNA will offer a broader array of educational resources, including workshops, seminars, and online courses. Our Advanced Learning Center will provide ICU nurses and aspiring CRNAs with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in their careers. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality content that covers both foundational and advanced nurse anesthesia practices.

Structured Mentorship Program: Our membership-based mentorship program will feature structured curriculum sessions, offering tailored support and resources such as admissions guidance, health and wellness tips, learning strategies, and application services. This program is designed to increase CRNA school acceptance, empower applicants, and decrease attrition rates by providing accurate and much-needed information on the nurse anesthesia school process.

Expanded Scholarship Opportunities: Financial barriers should never hinder academic and professional success. As part of our commitment to increasing access to education, SFNA will offer scholarship awards to aspiring nurse anesthetists. These scholarships will provide crucial financial support, allowing recipients to focus on their studies and achieve their academic goals.

Career Shadowing Network: We will do everything we can to develop a Career Shadowing Network that will connect aspiring nurse anesthetists with experienced CRNAs for real-world observation and learning opportunities. This hands-on experience will provide valuable insights into anesthesia practices, mentorship, and skill development.

Community Engagement and Events: SFNA will strive to host a variety of events in the future designed to facilitate networking, provide learning opportunities, and strengthen community ties among future nurse anesthetists and professionals in the field.

Looking Ahead

The transition from CRNA Chase Academy to The Society of Future Nurse Anesthetists is a strategic move to better serve our community and align with our mission of empowering future nurse anesthetists. We are excited about the opportunities this new identity will bring and are committed to supporting our members through every step of their journey.

We invite you to join us in this exciting new chapter and take advantage of the enhanced resources and opportunities SFNA has to offer. Together, we can build a thriving community of future nurse anesthetists equipped with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to excel in their careers and advance the field of nursing and healthcare.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication. We look forward to embarking on this new journey with you.
